Conditions of Rental InterCar Car Rental

InterCar Car Rental Crete has always the ability to offer safety guarantee and low prices, including fully comprehensive insurance against all risk.

Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.)

Renter's responsibility for any damage to the vehicle is minimized to euro 0, that means no excess. Tires and damages under the car due to carelessness or bad driving are not covered by the insurance.

Full Damage Waiver (F.D.W.)

In case of any accident that the renters are not responsible for it, full damage waiver covers damages caused underneath of the car, fire, engine damages, tires & glasses.

Theft Protection (T.P.)

In case of theft of car,customer's responsibility may be waived 0.

Personal Accident Coverage

In case of accident medical expenses are covered.

Baby seat and child car seat

Our office has the ability to offer child seats for free, without any extra charge.

Extras

Drop off and pickup of the vehicles from Heraklion port and town is free. You are not charged extra. Our office offers Crete road maps for free!

 1. Driver's Age

Drivers minimun age must be 21 years old.

2. Driver's License

Drivers must have a valid license held for at least one year. An International Driving License is required by Greek Law for all renters that are not citizens of the European Community. Driving license which is not written with Greek or Latin characters must be accompanied by an International Driving License.

3. Rental Length

Minimum rental period is one day. Every hour in excess is calculated at 1/5 of the daily rate.

4. Traffic Fines and Administrative Sanctions

All traffic fines incurred during the rental period are renter's responsibility.

5. Fuel

Fuel is always paid by the customer. The customer is obliged to return the car with the same level of fuel with which it was received. Unleaded type is to be used only.

6. Insurance

In the event of an accident the renter must inform the company and the nearest police station to obtain an accident report which eliminates the renter from any responsibility. Without this report the renter is responsible for the full amount of the repairs. In case of drunk driving, driving under the influence of drugs or driving on unauthorized roads, obvious acts of disregards to the vehicle, renter will be responsible for the full amount of charges.

7. Taxes

All rates include 24% Value Added Tax.

8. Delivery and Collection

Free of charge at most of our destinations, such as Heraklion town/airport/port. Delivery to some locations may cost a small amount. You may contact us for more information at info@intercars.gr.
